Tourism
Most people that travel to Macao have only one thing on their mind - gambling. But with the opening of Las Vegas Sands’ Cotai Strip® and the other casino resorts in Cotai, that will all soon change.
As the Venetian Macao and the dozens of other hotels open in Cotai, entertainment will play a much bigger role in Macau tourism. Sure, there will be plenty of great new things to do during the day, like shopping, sightseeing and golf, but it will be nightime when the Cotai Strip® and the surrounding area in Cotai really gets going.
Following in Las Vegas tradition, hundreds of new world class restaurants are planned, and many exciting nightlife venues will open to keep you partying till dawn. Plus, several new theatres will open in Cotai to bring you world class entertainment such as Cirque, along with a real live TV and Film studio at Macao Studio City once it opens.
However, if you prefer something alittle tamer, then the great thing about Cotai is that its nestled in between two great islands, Coloane and Taipa, to allow you easily travel back and forth to tour Macau’s wonderful history or enjoy the beaches and other outdoor activities.
Also, dont forget to check our Macao Event Calendar to see if there’s anything interesting to see and do when you visit.
