CotaiJet, TurboJet and other Ferries

To and from Hong Kong

Tourists can find quite a number of jetfoils and Catamarans available, run by TurboJET or First Ferry, which differ in speed, comfort and price.

Journeys will take one hour from Hong Kong to Macao and vice versa operating almost 24 hours. Drinks and snacks are available on board. The ticket prices range from HK$142 in Economy class on weekdays day service to HK$176 Economy class for night service.

Tickets in Super class range from HK$244 to HK$275, VIP cabins for 4 to 6 persons are available at prices from HK$976 to HK$1,650. Trips are made between the Hong Kong Ferry Terminal (located in the Shun Tak Centre at Sheung Wan) and the Macao Ferry Terminal (located in the Outer Harbour). For senior citizens (60 years old or above) and children (under 12 years old), there is a HK$15 discount per ticket.

Economy class passenger is allowed to carry on board, free of charge, one piece of luggage not exceeding 20 kg in weight and for Super class passenger not exceeding 30 kg. Please note that the sum of length, width and height of the luggage may not exceed 158 cm (62 inches).

Catamarans from the First Ferry offer roundtrip sailings to and from Macau and Kowloon, arriving at the China (HK) Ferry Terminal in Tsim Sha Tsui. The journey takes about 60-75 minutes. Bookings

Tickets can be booked 28 days in advance. Return tickets can be purchased at the same time and should be if you are planning to return on a public holiday.

Standby

In the Shun Tak Centre and Macau Ferry Terminal, there are special lines for standby passengers who want to leave earlier than their ticketed sailings. Except for holidays and weekends, there is a good chance of getting a seat.

Seat allocation

In Hong Kong and Macao, seats are allocated after check-in and immigration.

Cross Boundary Passenger Ferry Terminal

The “Cross Boundary Passenger Ferry Terminal” project provides deluxe passenger ferry service linking Hong Kong International Airport (HKIA) and Pearl River Delta region. A new brand “TurboJET Sea Express” runs the new service routes between HKIA, Shenzhen and Macau SAR.

Passengers can transit into or out of the Pearl River Delta region via HKIA without the need to go through HK Customs and Immigration formalities and also without the hassle of carrying their luggage to the ferry terminal. To and from Shenzhen

The Yuet Tung Shipping Co. offers a ferry service departing from Macau (at the end of Av. Almeida Ribeiro, Rua das Lorchas, near the Master Hotel, Pier 14) at 10:00 a.m., 2:00 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. Tickets cost MOP$120 for adults and MOP$70 for children.

Passengers departing from She Kou (Shenzhen) can travel at 8:15 a.m., 11:45 a.m. and 4:45 p.m. The trip takes about one hour and twenty minutes. Please call (853) 2857 4478 for detail.

TurboJET’s service also extends to carrying passengers to and from Shenzhen. The company offers trips between Macau and Shenzhen Fu Yong Ferry Terminal (09:45a.m., 10:45 a.m.*, 12:30 p.m. and 7:15 p.m. departing from Macao; 10:30 a.m.*, 1:30 p.m.and 5:30 p.m. departing from Shenzhen).
